We were planing to change our theme update system for about a year. But we could not complete it because we were worried thinking how much time it would take and how much effort we should have to put into that. Today I am happy to announce that we migrated our system even though we failed doing it few times earlier.
Our previous system was not very good and had some issues with it. Some of our customers complained that they cannot use their child themes. And that was true.
So we changed our system to outcome those issues and provide you a better service.
Notes for our customers.
If you purchased your theme before 25th of March 2020 please read this.
Nothing should break from your site. Your existing license key will be recognized by our license server and you will get an automatic update for the next release. Then you need to activate your theme again from Dashboard > Appearance > Theme License. You can find your new license key here. – https://themezhut.com/my-account/. After that the new update system codes will take over.
However you should have activated your site using previous API key in order to receive the new update. If you want to find your previous API key you can see it from the order email that you have received when you place the order. If you still cannot find it please contact us. We will send you your previous API key. Otherwise you have to download the new version and update your theme manually.
We apologize in advance to our customers for some inconvenience they may face. Especially if you have activated licenses a few days or a few weeks ago, you may need to reactivate them again.
At all times you can access all your orders, downloads and licenses from the your-account section using your same usernames and passwords. You will see that your account dashboard of ThemezHut is little bit different than your previous dashboard. And you will not see your previous API keys there. Instead you will see a new License key as I mentioned earlier.
